Are People Blinded by Their Love for You?
When we think we know everything or believe we are better than others, we are spiritually blind. When we rely upon our own wisdom, and not God’s, this is pride and will prevent us from seeing the reality of God’s Truth in our lives.
You’ve heard the term, “love is blind.” Which means you can be so in love with someone, that you are blind to the possible threats that come with that relationship; you are unable to see the truth of that person.
Do your friends, work associates, family see the “real” you? Or is there love for you blind? Are you able to live a life of humility and servanthood to the degree that is genuine, seen and acknowledged by others? Or does your pride keep them from seeing the real you?
Make no mistake about it. Those who truly love you, they will see your pride and confront you with it. And when they do, receive their tough love. It’ll be worth it. Destroy your pride and open your eyes to God. And as you do…
You watch… You wait… You’ll see!
