36,012 Feet in the Air
As I write, I find myself at an altitude of exactly 36,012 feet in the air. With a head wind of 35 miles per hour and the ground speed of 505 miles per hour, I will reach my earthly destination in 1 hour and 24 minutes from….. now.
I am amazed at the information available to us as we travel from one adventure to the next; when we will arrive, how long it will take, what to expect along the way and everything else you’d like to know about your journey. With a GPS on your phone or observing the “flight tracker” mode on the screen in front of you as you fly, you know everything you need to know.
However, this does not take into consideration the occasional flat tire, extended lay over, mishap, accident, and other events that surprisingly take place along our journey. The journey of life is filled with these unexpected delays, disappointments and distractions keeping us from our hopeful time of arrival.
The good news, if we allow God to “pilot” our lives, then we’ll always be on time, for it will be His time. And there’s no better time than that! Be patient, God has you; in His time.
You watch… You wait… You’ll see!
