Celebrating From A Distance
Two days ago, August 2, my Bride and I celebrated 41 years of marriage, from a distance. Being separated by the expanse of heaven and earth, I celebrated with my children and family the wonderful Covenant of marriage given to us by God. I would give anything to have been able to celebrate it together, hand in hand with my Bride, but of course that is now no longer possible since her arrival in heaven.
There are many times in life that we end up celebrating life events alone. Families who live far distances from us, accomplishments that came about unexpectantly making it impossible for us to invite others to celebrate with us, and many other reasons. Living alone with no one in the room as you celebrate a life event can be extremely lonely and heartbreaking.
When you experience the celebrations of your life, and find yourself alone for one reason or another, remember that God is with you, experiencing it first-hand right along with you; applauding alongside all of His creation as He smiles upon you with great delight!
You may be alone on this earth from time to time; but God is with you. It’s His promise.
You watch... You wait... You'll see!
