No "Sitters" In The Kingdom
Right off the start, I make no apologies for the length of this, but G-d laid this on my heart big time. I know I mention G-d is good, a lot, but He is. When I look at my short comings or even look back at my life before G-d, I wonder why He bothered with me. But He did! Many of us can relate to that. I was reading Ephesians Chapter 5, but what caught my eye was Eph. 5:15-16. "Walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil". We are in the end Times and there is no doubt about it. Our walk is not to live life recklessly, but in G-d's wisdom.
We must watch how we live as in humility, unity love and light unto Him. We are in Christ. How we live and what we do should be like what we say we are. Born again, unto Him. Many claim their salvation in Him, but do not trust Him in other areas of their lives. Because we are in the End Times, does not mean we sit back waiting for Jesus to come, and letting the world do what it wants. It is evil and evil will continue to grow worse. The thing is we can't be "sitters" of the Word, but "doers". Then there are those that say they believe in G-d and wants things to go back to normal. Folks, there is no going back. Normal of the past is gone.
If you are a believer, you must move forward with Him. Redeeming the time is making the most of every opportunity you get. Time in this case is time that G-d has given to each believer for a season - to proclaim your worship unto Him and to serve Him. Some have a short time and are taken home. Others may have longer. Only G-d knows your length of days. "Because the days are evil", we must seize every opportunity to expose sin and wrong doing, and help the lost come to the Lord. G-d gives us opportunity after opportunity to do this.
In Revelation, G-d commended the church at Ephesus for their good works. But, they had lost there first love. The lamp stand for the church of Ephesus was removed because of loss of devotion to the Lord (Adonai). Sometime in the 2nd century the church of Ephesus disappeared and there has never been a congregation since. Be wise, be guided by Holy Spirit and go higher in Him. We are not to be spectators. Love Him first with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Then, pursue what He wants you to do. There are no "sitters" in the Kingdom of G-d.
