Praise Up! Power Down!

Psalm 150:1-6 - “Praise the Lord. Praise God in His holy temple. Praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His powerful acts. Praise Him because He is greater than anything else. Praise Him by blowing trumpets. Praise Him with harps and lyres. Praise Him with tambourines and dancing. Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes. Praise Him with clashing cymbals. Praise Him with clanging cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.”

Ezekiel 3:12 - “Then the Spirit of the Lord lifted me up. I heard a loud rumbling sound behind me. May the glory of the Lord be praised in the place where he lives!”

Today’s Helpful Thought: When we spend time telling God how amazing He is and how thankful we are for Him, He makes us strong and gives us His power in our lives! When we don’t feel like spending time with God and don’t feel like telling Him how wonderful He is, that is really the best time to do it. Sometimes, we just have to do it anyway. The more time we spend with God, praising Him and telling Him He is wonderful, the more we will want to do it. Sometimes we just have to fake out our feelings. Soon, we will feel God’s strength to help us in what we need.

Today’s Prayer: Dear Lord, the One who makes all the best decisions, today I am going to choose to tell You again and again how amazing You are. Even when I am hurting and not sure what is right, even when I am afraid and worried, when I do wrong things and when I do right things; no matter what I will remember how amazing You are and tell You over and over again! Thank You for making me strong while I praise You. Thank You for making me strong so I can do what I need to during the day. You are wonderful!!! Thank You for listening to me and answering me!
