Retiring Is Not An Option
Many professional athletes, as they near the end of their career, debate the inward struggle of knowing when to call it quits. For many of them, finances are not a part of the equation, having been paid bountifully. Yet the struggle within them remains for a variety of reasons. Some, retire at the pinnacle of their careers, while others “hang on” and end up leaving on a “down” note.
For most US citizens, the question is, when should and when can I retire? There are many factors that fall into that debate, all of which are extremely fluid and important. I’ve heard some say, “I’m not retiring, I’m refiring!” To that I say, yes! Praise God!
My challenge to you is this, nowhere in the Bible does it tell us to quit, or stop making disciples. The possibility of retiring, or quitting from being a disciple maker, is not an option. We have been commanded by God, no matter our age or stage of life, to make disciples for His Kingdom.
Some of you need to come out of the disciple making retirement and start doing what you’ve been commanded to do. And as you do…
You watch… You wait… You’ll see!
