A Promise Keeping Father

Jeremiah 31

“I will love you with an everlasting love.”

“You will sorrow no more.”

“I will turn their mourning into gladness!”

“I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.”
“I will satisfy them with abundance.”
“Your work will be rewarded.”
“There is hope for your future!”
“I will have great compassion for you.”
“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”
“I will forgive their wickedness.”
“I will remember their sins no more.”

God promises us so many things through His Word. In this chapter alone we see a plethora of His promises for us. Here’s the thing... we serve a God who is FULL OF LOVE!!!! He wants desperately to throw blessing after blessing our way! He wants to restore us and give us joy, peace, strength, comfort and all our heart’s desires! Simply because He loves us! We can’t make God give us these things. We can’t be so worthy or deserving of these gifts, that He HAS to give them. He simply delights to give us these things! It makes Him happy to see His children happy!

But... a perfect and just father doesn’t reward disobedient children. When a child disobeys, a good father will discipline and correct them, because He loves them and wants to instruct them and show them what is right and acceptable so they will benefit from His discipline in the future. But if the child obeys, the father is happy to reward them for their actions! God is the ultimate, perfect, loving father!

If we want to experience all the promises God makes to His children, then we must be obedient to our Father. Don’t disobey His commands and then expect a blessing for it. We must deny our own desires and seek to obey His commands! And when we do... PREPARE TO EXPERIENCE THE FULL MEASURE OF GOD’S PROMISES! A life better than anything we could ask for or imagine. A life that we were meant to live. A life full of love, peace and joy! Given to you, because He Loves you! Always!!!! That’s my God!!!!
