A Way Of Escape
My brother Rick encouraged me a few years ago, that when I ride my motorcycle, to always have a way of escape. He said, “When you are riding, you may be fine, but it’s the other guys you have to watch out for; so always have a way of escape.” Meaning, if someone pulls out in front of me, stops quickly, swerves into my lane, always know where I can go to escape that imminent threat.
His advice is always in my mind when I’m riding. I am constantly observing the realities around me looking for that “way of escape.”
Do you know your way of escape when the enemy comes against you? Are you prepared for the fiery darts of the wicked one when the arrows of lust, pride and other temptations come your way? Are you prepared at all times to know how you’re going to navigate through those attacks? If not, then it’s time to get ready.
Before you even get out of bed each morning, ask God to direct your steps that day, that as you navigate the path of life, you’ll be able to handle the pressures of the enemy that you know will be thrown at you. Always know your way of escape. Have a divine strategy prepared and ready to go.
And as you do…
You watch… You wait… You’ll see!
