I Double Dog Dare You
We’ve all heard this challenge from friends or family as they attempt to talk us into doing something we more than likely shouldn’t be doing in the first place. If it is something easy to do and not a big deal, they wouldn’t need to challenge you in such a manner. That dare usually has the potential to embarrass you, hurt you, get you into trouble, or something else negative.
But… there are the occasions when we have been challenged, when it’s all over, we realize we just gained a beautiful memory we will hold on to for the rest of our lives! When given the challenge, “I double dog dare you to ask that girl out!” and she ends up being your Bride for life – the dare was worth it! But if the challenge is, “I double dog dare you to light that match and see what happens!” then that’s a whole different story to be written.
If you are challenged in life, let it be those things that will bring you closer to God, your family, your friends, your dreams and your passions. When dared to do something that has the potential for the destruction of those things, then take a pass. It’s not worth it.
I double dog dare you!
You watch… You wait… You’ll see!
