What is Your Response?
Isaiah 38:17-20
“In Your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; You have put all my sins behind Your back. For the grave cannot praise You, death cannot sing Your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness. The living, the living—they praise You, as I am doing today; parents tell their children about Your faithfulness. The Lord will save me, and we will sing with stringed instruments all the days of our lives in the temple of the Lord.”
In light of God’s incredible and never ending love, what is your response?
In Isaiah 38, King Hezekiah has just been healed by God and saved from death. I love his response! He knows that he was spared simply out of the love of his God. He states that from the grave, no one can praise God. So as long as he’s living, HE WILL PRAISE GOD! His response to God’s love and mercy is to worship Him with all his might! This should be our response to God’s awesome love all day, every day!
Never forgot the love God has for you, and never forget to respond to that life saving love. Respond with genuine, powerful, passionate worship! Worship in spirit and in truth! Just think about how AMAZING our God is!!!! HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED!!!!! In looking at His numerous blessings, we should be so grateful and so amazed that we can’t help but praise Him! So often we struggle to find time to worship Him because of our responsibilities, comforts and schedules. But really, we should struggle to find times to do things on our schedule because we are so consumed with a desire to WORSHIP!!!!
Be so consumed with worship that you have no time for sin and disobedience.
Never forget the things God has done for you, and never forget the future He’s promised you. A future filled with love, peace, joy, health, prosperity, goodness and never ending blessings! And let your response be... WORSHIP! He is worthy to be praised! That’s my God!!!!
