Making Music

Today’s Bible Reading:

Psalm 8 - “Our Lord and Ruler, Your name is wonderful everywhere on earth! You let Your glory be seen in the heavens above. With praises from children and from tiny infants, You have built a fortress. It makes Your enemies silent, and all who turn against You are left speechless.”

Psalm 33:1-3 - “You are the Lord’s people. Obey Him and celebrate! He deserves your praise. Praise the Lord with harps! Use harps with ten strings to make music for Him. Sing a new song. Shout! Play beautiful music.”

Today’s Helpful Thought: When we sing with our mouths, it does not always sound very good. Some people sing really well, but others do not sing well at all. Just like we sing with our mouths, we also need to sing with our hearts. That means that we need to do our best to make sure that all during our day, that we are thankful and remembering how much we love God. It is having a heart that loves God and wants to be like Him and tell Him how wonderful He is. It is good to sing to God with our mouths, but when we sing to God with our hearts, it means so much to Him. He always knows what our heart is like, and when our heart is singing good things to Him, He loves it! A heart singing for God sounds good every time!

Today’s Prayer: Dear Lord,  You are the One that I want to be in charge of my life! Will You please help my heart to always sing good songs to You? Will You please help me to never stop loving You and being thankful for You? Please help even the little things in life to remind me of You. And when I see You and what You are doing all around me, will You show my heart how to sing to You and tell You how amazing You are? I want all of my thoughts and feelings to be excited about You! Right now, my heart is going to remember how amazing Your love is! Thank You, Jesus!
