A Prayer for Those With Shattered Hearts

Psalm 34:18 “The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.”

Yesterday, May 24th, was yet another mass school shooting in the United States. Horrific acts like these are completely demonic. No matter your political opinions, the bottom line, these are demonic attacks.

The hearts of families have been shattered; not to mention the millions of families around the world that are dealing with shattered hearts as they live out their own stories of life.

This is my prayer for those with shattered hearts. If your heart has been shattered as a result of something that has happened in your life, then this prayer is for you.

“Father God, I humbly call upon You on behalf of those with shattered hearts; those who are striving for their next breath, let alone their next day. I ask You to surround them with Your unending love. May Your embrace begin to soothe their pain.

I ask that You would begin to mend crushed and broken spirits in ways only You can do. Hide them Father in Your loving arms. Wipe the tears from their eyes with Your touch of grace.

I ask You Father to pick them up, wrap them into the depths of Your very essence. Bring them a true sense of hope that can only come from You. Please dear Lord, make Yourself real in their minds, in their hearts, and in their souls.

Surround them as well dear Lord with people who will bring encouragement, hope and peace. Protect them from evildoers and those that would bring hurt with their words. May Your angels come around them to do spiritual warfare on their behalf.

Father God, please be a father to those who need You the most, to which I thank You. Amen.”

If your heart has been shattered, then this prayer is for you. May you continue to watch, wait and see the Love of God in a very real way right now.
