The Good Thing About Rising Gas Prices

Fill your vehicle up with gasoline lately? If so, then you’ve noticed you’re exchanging a lot more money for that gas than you did not too long ago. When you paid for the gas, you may or may not have spoken either out loud, or under your breath, your displeasure for having to spend so much money! You may have said a curse word, or blamed a political party or world event for the rising costs and complained furiously!

Or, you may have said to yourself, or those around you, “Wow, this is horrible. Gas prices are so high! But you know what? I know that God is my provider and He will provide for my every need. I know He loves me, so I trust Him. Even if I can’t afford to fill my tank up with gas today; I’m thankful that I can have at least a quarter of tank. God will provide!”

The good thing about the rising cost of gas, it gives you an opportunity to express the joy of the Lord in your life to both yourself and those around you, even in the midst of that trial. You have the opportunity to praise God in the midst of the pain. You have an opportunity to be an example of God’s joy in your life to those around you who are hurting.

In the midst of the pain of your life, don’t forget that people are watching how you respond. Let them know that God is your source, your comfort, your hope, your peace and your joy.

And as you do…

You watch… You wait… You’ll see!
